OLD MARKET - BRISTOL NEIGHBOURHOOD NAMED AMONG UK’S COOLEST
A Bristol area has been named in Time Out’s 11 coolest neighbourhoods in the UK for 2026.
Old Market is heralded in particular for being Bristol’s “gay village” with Bristol Bear Bar and the Old Castle Green both highlighted.
“But inclusivity is only part of the area’s charm,” writes Michal Grant, “with dining tables spilling into the streets, guitar solos blaring from small music venues and an abundance of pubs.”
Also among the choices are neighbourhoods including Cathedral Quarter in Belfast, Newington Green in London and Crookes in Sheffield.
Old Market businesses name checked by Time Out include Chido Wey, Tomo No Ramen, Gigi’s Pizza, the Wardrobe Theatre, the Exchange and the Ill Repute, as well as Outer Town festival which is described as Old Market’s “annual celebration of independent music and DIY culture”.
